Aside from practicing therapy, I have a special interest in multiculturalism, social justice, and advocacy work. The research indicates that extraneous social factors also have an impact on our emotional well-being, so I am involved in activism work that I believe will assist in changing the lives of people I serve.
I have a PhD in Counseling Education and Supervision and an MA in Counseling. My dissertation topic was counselor advocacy on behalf of low-income clients in response to growing economic inequality.
I am certified in the state of Kentucky to provide supervision to those seeking their independent license. I have experience providing supervision to graduate students working on their practicum and internship and individuals working toward licensure hours. I also have experience teaching graduate level courses in counseling and facilitating trainings.
